About

A passion for the natural world + my first sewing machine + a career in graphics media + an education in the visual arts all interact to fuel and develop my art making today.

When I travel, I often carry an empty suitcase specifically for exciting finds of driftwood, unique textiles, treasures from treks in forests, alleyways and thrifts. I relish the ability to experiment with texture, organic lines and carefully chosen elements from my ever-growing, ever-evolving collections.

As I pull disparate items together, my work becomes its own tactile exploration and endeavor. I invent and create by forming, building, combining, designing, altering, moving bits and pieces about. One fascination leads to another and I end up combining multiple elements, woven together in my own individual style. A love of making visually beautiful forms from seemingly unconnected natural and manmade elements spurs me on, and fresh ideas emerge from the process of making each finished new piece.
